One of the outcomes of the focus on patient safety since early in this century is the application of the Universal Protocol for invasive procedures, regardless of the health care setting in which the procedure occurs. Identify the invasive procedures that occur in your setting. Describe the elements of the Universal Protocol that should be applied for those procedures.

For the Aldrete Post Anesthesia Discharge score, page 314 notes that there are 10 items assessed with a possible score of 20. However, table 18-1 on page 315 only lists 5 areas of assessment with a possible score of 10. This was very confusing for me.
