Assessing Workplace Safety by Measuring Assaults on Nursing Personnel
Presented by Meg Colleton, BSN, RN, CPHQ and Catima Potter, MPH
To change culture in reporting and prevention of workplace violence, systematic reporting and targeted improvement efforts must become standard practice. Participation in the assaults on nursing personnel indicator can help facilities assess workplace safety, provide a supportive practice environment where nurses feel their safety is prioritized, and nurture a culture of nursing excellence.
