Kimberly Burkeen has served as the Magnet Program Director and Senior Nursing Projects Manager for the Adult Ambulatory Clinics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since 2020. Her Vanderbilt nursing career began in 2008 in a specialty care clinical nurse role within Ambulatory Medicine. After serving over 10 years as a clinical nurse at Vanderbilt, she transitioned to nursing leadership upon completing her graduate degree. As the Magnet Program Director, her responsibilities include fostering a culture of nursing excellence in alignment with Magnet components among frontline nursing staff and leaders for over 200 clinics. Kimberly completed her BSN in 1994 at Western Kentucky University located in Bowling Green, KY and earned her MSN focused on Leadership and Administration in 2018 from Capella University located in Minneapolis, MN.
