Sana Savage is retired as a commander, U.S. Navy. Most recently she served as senior nurse officer in of one of the branch health clinics at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. She has served on the AAACN conference planning committee, nominating committee, and board of directors. She is certified in ambulatory care nursing. Her other professional affiliations include American Nurses Association, the North Carolina Nurses Association, the Navy Nurse Corps Association, the American Public Health Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International, and Honor Society of Nursing.
