Anne Hansen is the nurse educator for 18 ambulatory clinics at the Ottawa Hospital. She has been in the position since 2001, and brings a strong critical care background and extensive experience in nursing education to the position. She graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University in 1976. Working in ICU and Emergency, she found a part time nursing education position two years later. She worked full and part time as facility in accredited nursing programs from 1987 to 1992. She has been responsible for the development and rollout of many patient safety initiatives and is a strong advocate for nurses to attend conferences and be active in nursing education. Anne has presented multiple poster presentations over the past 7 years at the AAACN.
