Carlene Lugtu MCiM, BSN, RN
Carlene Lugtu is a manager of health informatics transformation at Stanford Health Care in Stanford, CA. Carlene holds a Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management degree from Stanford University (2022) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from San Francisco State University (2001). She previously served on the board of directors for HIMSS Northern California chapter. Carlene has been an RN for over 24 years. She has worked in nursing informatics for 3 years, with the last year as part of the data science team supporting AI evaluation, implementation, and governance for the organization. Carlene is a member of the authorship team for two publications, one in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and one in Nature, related to AI in health care. Prior to joining nursing informatics, Carlene worked in cardiac ambulatory care for 12 years as first an RN and then as an operations clinic manager.
