Mental health is a topic of interest and relevance in the pediatric ambulatory care setting and has been a recurring theme of conversations in the Pediatrics Special Interest Group (SIG). We present the approach of a pediatric health system's journey of planning and implementing universal suicide screening (USS) and mental behavioral health (MBH) screening in primary and specialty care settings, including lessons learned, current outcomes, and future opportunities.
