Dedria Sowder (formerly Tuck) is a clinical educator at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke Virginia. Dedria earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Radford University in 1992 and her master’s degree in nursing education from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in 2014 and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree through Post University. Dedria holds certifications in pediatric and ambulatory care nursing. She has been a member of AAACN for 15 years and currently serves as a member of the Leadership SIG Advisory Board, the Lippincott Procedures Team, the ANPD Team, and the Preceptor Guide Revision Task Force. Dedria’s previous volunteer activities include chair of the Leadership SIG 2020-21, working with ANCC ambulatory care certification exam, and the revision of the Core Curriculum of Ambulatory Nursing.
