
Kae Rivers Livsey PhD, MPH, RN
Dr. Kae Livsey is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the School of Nursing at Western Carolina University. She has been actively engaged in using high impact learning experiences for baccalaureate nursing students in community, public health, and primary care settings. Dr. Livsey represents one of three schools of nursing who has received two rounds of funding from HRSA under the Nurse Education Practice and Retention program to promote integration of community and primary care focused nursing practice in the nursing curriculum. Dr. Livsey is especially passionate about the need for Registered Nurses to be able to articulate what nursing practice is and providing support to primary care practices in developing the value proposition of integrating professional nurses who are prepared to serve at their fully licensed scope of practice.
