Dr. Portia J. Zaire is a distinguished national clinician scholar and postdoctoral research fellow in the T32 Cancer Control and Population Sciences Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan. With 17 years of experience serving medically underserved populations in diverse settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge as both an educator and a nurse leader. Dr. Zaire completed her PhD degree in 2024 and is an emerging force in health services research, with a focus on preventive health care. In 2023, she was honored as the Policy & Politics in Nursing Scholar by Academy Health, where she honed her skills in influencing health policy.
