Theresa Gillenwater is an UPCARE Registered Nurse Preceptor at James Madison University in Virginia. She has been a nurse for 15 years, spending the majority of these years in med-surg working within her community, with the exception of 1 year as an employee health nurse. In 2019, she joined the undergraduate primary care and rural education project, a HRSA-funded project that focuses on nursing education within local primary care clinics. In this role, she educates staff, patients, and JMU nursing students.
