Overview

In March 2020, hospitals were in the midst of grappling with the effects of COVID-19. Of specific concern was the high number of COVID-19-positive admissions, judicious use of personal protective equipment, and strategies to prevent spread of the virus. This presentation outlines the timeline for key decisions in employee screening, provides a detailed approach to setting up the physical testing space and process used to ensure quality, and addresses consistency in specimen collection.
