Recognizing the need to support ambulatory care clinical learning experiences for nursing students, the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) endorsed the development of academic-practice partnership guidelines to enhance education and preparation of ambulatory care nurses. This panel workshop discusses these guidelines and how they can be used to positively impact the ambulatory care nurse workforce of the future, elevate the role of the ambulatory care nurse, and spur innovation in ambulatory care practice settings.
