Overview

This pre-conference workshop is designed for novice nurses. Attendees gain a deeper understanding of evidence-based practice from project identification through dissemination.

Complete the learning activity in its entirety and complete the online nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) evaluation. You will be able to print your NCPD certificate at any time after you complete the evaluation.

Bernadette Melnyk serves as a consultant and has lectured across the country and globe at universities and healthcare organizations on evidence-based practice, health and wellness, child and adolescent mental health, and intervention research, for which she has received travel expenses and honoraria. She is part-owner of COPEforHOPE, which presents training workshops and disseminates the COPE program for hospitals, and is owner of COPE2THRIVE, a company that disseminates her COPE healthy lifestyle and mental health programs. She is the creator of the MINDBODYSTRONG program for clinicians. She discloses the following editorial relationships for which she receives honoraria: co-editor of a book on evidence-based leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in nursing; co-editor of a textbook on evidence-based physical examination best practices for health and well-being assessment; co-editor of a book on intervention research and evidence-based quality improvement; co-editor of a book on child and adolescent mental health screening, early intervention, and health promotion; co-editor of three books on evidence-based practice; and editor of Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing.
