Areas of Controversy in Telephone Triage: Let's Take a Fresh Look

Telephone triage is a well-established form of nursing, but conventional wisdom guiding this practice is not always based on principles of professional nursing. Attend this session to take a critical look at appropriate use of protocols, second level triage, third party callers, call intake by unlicensed personnel, policy-driven follow- up calls, and quality assurance in telephone triage.
