Best Practices to Prevent Geriatric Decline During Hospitalization

Hospitalization is hazardous to anyone’s health but can be downright dangerous for older adults. More than 36% of those admitted experience at least one iatrogenic event. Geriatric syndromes triggered by hospital care processes can produce devastating functional decline. This session discusses strategies to protect older adults during hospitalization.
