Medical Assistant Practice in WA State in the Era of Health Care Reform

This session shares the process and strategy used in the development and passage of a medical assistant legal scope of practice in Washington state. The role of the MA in ambulatory care, as well as the MA’s role in the PCMH, is also discussed to illustrate the impact on RNs and the provision of quality care.
