Telehealth SIG - From Ink to Impact: Creation of a Telephone Triage Audit Tool (Scorecard)

Date
May 22, 2025

Telephone triage as a professional nursing practice lacks the evidence to support the concepts of improved patient outcomes and patient safety; thus, it is imperative that nurses engage in the development of science to improve practice. This presentation describes a study to create a valid and reliable telephone triage audit tool in the form of a scorecard to improve standardization of care, adherence to the nursing process, use of critical thinking, and evidence of clinical judgment.
