Drawing upon numerous resources as well as recent empirical research in ambulatory care settings, this presentation covers what facility evaluation is, and why it is important in supporting continuous improvement in ambulatory care. Speakers also describe the recommended approaches to measuring facility effectiveness and share results and applications from two health care systems that have engaged formal facility evaluation processes.
