A health care organization recognized that staff may wish to pursue a more clinical-focused career path but may lack the time, support, or resources to do so. This session describes a unique opportunity created for staff to pursue a new career path through coverage of tuition and fees with full salary maintained while enrolled in a medical assistant program. Discussion includes the strategy formation for this initiative, the process for identifying program participants, partnership with community stakeholders and collaboration to develop curriculum, program outcomes, key lessons learned, and future planning considerations.

Requirements for Successful Completion:

Complete the learning activity in its entirety and complete the online nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) evaluation. You will be able to print your NCPD certificate at any time after you complete the evaluation.
