Director, Clinical Trial Nursing, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

RuthAnn Gordon is the director of clinical trials nursing in the department of nursing at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Her responsibilities include overseeing clinical trials nurses and developing and implementing policies, procedures, standards, and systems to improve quality and compliance in the conduct of clinical research. Prior to assuming this role in 2019, RuthAnn served as a clinical trials nurse leader in MSK’s Department of Nursing. Previously, she was a clinical research nurse coordinator/nurse practitioner in phase 1 immunotherapeutic clinical trials, and she earlier held other clinical research nursing positions. Before joining MSK in 2005, Ruth Ann spent six years as a staff nurse at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she worked in pediatric hematology/oncology. RuthAnn received her MS degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner (FNP), from Pace University in 2015 and a BS degree in nursing from College of Mount Saint Vincent. She is a board-certified oncology certified nurse (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation), board-certified FNP, and a basic life support provider (American Heart Association), as well as a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.
