
Sandra Siedlecki PhD, RN, APRN, FAAN
Dr. Sandra Siedlecki has over 40 years of experience as a clinical nurse, a CNS, and a nurse educator. She is a Senior Nurse Scientist at Cleveland Clinic, where she maintains her own program of research. Dr. Siedlecki received her BSN and MSN from the University of Akron and her PhD from Case Western Reserve University. She has previous experience teaching advanced physical assessment skills to nurses and physicians. She has an interest in identifying factors that impact nurses decisions to assess some body systems (cardiovascular) and not others (GI) and to identify knowledge gaps that will enhance nurse assessment and improve patient outcomes by early recognition and prevention of GI complications associated with hospitalization.
