Sherri Luchs MHA, BSN

As the Chief Administrative Officer of the Penn State Hershey Medical Group, Sherri Luchs was responsible for the initial design and orchestration of its initial structure and day-to-day operations of its more than 60 medical group practice sites serving central Pennsylvania with primary, medical, and surgical specialty care in 21 locations. Under Ms. Luchs, Penn State Hershey transitioned to an integrated model of care and expanded its geographic footprint and the regional campus to serve the university's insured and meet the needs of its self-insured and retirees to reduce their costs and provide quality healthcare in a rural area.  Much of her focus was centered on the pioneering effort of transforming the workforce management model of the medical group to gain greater flexibility and increased efficiency to effectively meet the staffing needs of each practice.

Ms. Luchs joined Penn State Hershey in 1992 as a staff nurse in pediatrics. Over her more than 20-year career at Penn State Hershey she has served as an administrator and the director of outpatient services.  

Ms. Luchs received her BSN from Immaculata University and earned her master’s in health administration from Penn State University. She is a member of the following organizations: American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), UHC Ambulatory & Physician Practice Council, and National Association of Professional Women.
