Amanda Stein BSN, RN-CCCTM

Amanda Stein started her nursing career as a nurse tech and then as a new graduate nurse in the NICU in 2013. She worked in the NICU for 2 ½ years before falling in love with pulmonary tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients. Shortly after that Pulmonary Medicine offered Stein the opportunity to create and define the role of the first Care Coordinator and Transition Management nurse at Akron Children's Hospital. She obtained her certification in CCCTM in January 2016 and assisted and led two study groups for other nurses interested in becoming CCCTM certified. Stein currently works closely with multiple departments within Akron Children’s Hospital regarding the asthma initiative and strives to optimize and provide continuity of care for the high risk asthma patient population.
