Charlene David RN, ACNS, BC

Charlene David was appointed as a clinical nurse specialist (CNS) for VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System in 2015. Prior to this appointment, she was a CNS for the VA in long-term care and the gastroenterology outpatient clinic. She has practiced as a RN since 1997 and was certified as an advance practice nurse per ANCC after graduating with a master’s degree as a clinical nurse specialist in adult health from Wright State University. As the CNS for primary care, she is responsible for overseeing nursing clinical and business practices for seven outpatient clinics in Western Pennsylvania which covers 6 counties. Her experience includes implementation of VA primary care directives and standards of practice by acting as a liaison between administration and front-line staff.
