Karol DiBello DNP, FNP-BC, ACHPN
Dr. Karol DiBello is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University School of Nursing in New York where she teaches courses on public health, care coordination, and palliative care. She is board certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. She is also a certified Train-the-Trainer for the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) and has been involved with palliative care for over fifteen years. Dr. DiBello has practiced in a variety of settings including nursing homes, hospitals, medical offices and in patient’s homes. She was the initial provider and later Associate Director of what became a large palliative care management program at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. There, she trained and managed interdisciplinary teams responsible for patients across all five boroughs of New York City. She has served as a participant in the Greater New York Hospital Association Palliative Care Leadership Collaborative and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Westchester End of Life Coalition.
