Ronnie Peterson is the Manager of Clinical Support for the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, where she oversees the after-hours call center, a group of 25 nurses who conduct the after-hours triage for more than 300 primary care physicians in south center Wisconsin; The Clinical Staff Education Department , a department responsible for the clinical competency and training program, the emergency training, and the CPR certification for the organization; and the Health and Nutrition Education Department, a group of 12 Diabetes Nurses Educators and the Registered Dietitians. Most recently Ronnie has been involved in two of her organization's top initiatives: Diabetes and their Breast Cancer Screening Initiatives.
Ronnie has been a nurse for almost 20 years, receiving her first degree in Speech Communications, then a BSN and MS in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Nurses Association, being a member of their Continuing Education Approval Committee for the last nine years, a past president of her district nurses association, receiving the WNA's 1993 and 1995 Image of Nursing Awards. Ronnie has written more than 200 clinical policies and procedures in her tenure at the Medical Foundation , more a dozen professional nursing articles, a videotape program for the Wisconsin Nurses Association, and a book Just the Facts, a reference book for nursing students, by Elsevier/Mosby Inc., St. Louis. She is listed in the Who's Who in American Nursing and in the Who's Who in American Women.
