Wendy Kring RN

Wendy Kring is the Quality Manager for the Primary Care Outpatient clinics at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) in Fayetteville, AR. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Quinnipiac University in 1979. She received her nursing degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1992. She began her nursing career in cardiology at Washington Regional Medical Center and served as assistant director of cardiology for 9 of her 12 years at WRMC. At VHSO, she served on the original committee that evaluated warfarin therapy management and is on the current anticoagulation therapy workgroup that monitors outpatient and inpatient practices throughout the facility. She remains a prime resource for the nursing staff that needs information or guidance about warfarin therapy management. She also offers an overview of current warfarin therapy practices to providers new to the VA system during the orientation process.
