Uncontrolled Hypertension in Primary Care

Hypertension remains the leading cause of preventable death. So why is it inadequately controlled in the primary care clinic? This session focuses on a project based on evidence designed to evaluate whether shared medical appointments that use motivational interviewing with goal setting and self-management skills can lead to better blood pressure outcome through the traditional medical approach.
