"Let's Talk About This": Understanding Workplace Violence

Workplace violence can influence patient safety, medical errors, and poor patient satisfaction. It also causes nurses to seek new positions in more professional environments. This presentation reviews the impact of these disruptive and intimidating behaviors, defines what constitutes workplace violence, and identifies nursing leadership's role in establishing a zero tolerance policy against bullying behaviors in nursing practice.
