Outcomes of Telephone Triage Decision Tool in a Primary Care Setting: One Medical Center's Experience with Impacting Patient Health Care Choices

It is more important than ever for nurses to contribute to the provision of high quality, cost-effective care that supports responsible use of health care resources. Nurses can demonstrate the value of ambulatory care nursing practices through data analysis of nursing interventions and patient outcomes. This presentation reviews the lessons learned and outcomes experienced three years post-implementation of an electronic decision support tool which utilizes branching logic technology.
