Sharon Gilmore received her BSN from the University of New Mexico and followed with a Master's in Health Administration from the University of California and a certification in Nursing Administration. She has over 25 years of experience in Ambulatory Care Nursing, in settings from school health to HMO's, educational institutions and for profit clinics. Sharon provides private consulting services for accreditation and certification of ambulatory care services including medical home recognition and preparation for accountable care with emphasis on development of quality metrics and improved processes. She believes the ambulatory care setting is where nurses are most effective at influencing and changing lives through long-term relationships and engagement.
