Elizabeth Barton RN-BC

Libby (Elizabeth) Barton has been a nurse for 40 years with experience in Med-Surg, School, and most recently in Ambulatory Care Nursing. She has served as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and nurse manager of a multi-specialty center for diagnostic medicine and currently as a clinic educator for the Scott and White Ambulatory Healthcare System. In her current role, she is responsible for on-boarding new nursing staff, ensuring periodic nursing competency is verified and serving as a resource to all nursing staff in ambulatory care. This is her 5th year to attend AAACN. She has been a podium presenter and poster presenter for AAACN. Two of her posters have won 1st place and one has won 2nd place. She is currently honored to be the Patient Education SIG co-chair.
