Cara Spencer PhD, RN, FNP-BC

Cara Spencer is a Research Nurse Scientist at UCHealth in Colorado. Cara started her career in oncology and then spent several years working in Hospice Home care where she found her ambulatory care passion. Later, Cara became a family nurse practitioner and practiced for many years in a rural private practice and gained greater understanding of care challenges in clinic settings. Now, as a nurse researcher, Cara strives to address ambulatory care issues, find innovative solutions, and mentors nurses to conduct and disseminate their own process improvements.
