Advancing the Science of Ambulatory NSIs through a Synergistic Application of Implementation Science, Data Science, and Change Management
Date
May 22, 2025
This session is a collaboration between the AAACN research committee and ambulatory nurse-sensitive indicators (NSI) research sub-committee. To move the science of ambulatory care forward, we need more rigorous approaches to development and measurement of ambulatory care NSIs. This requires collaboration among nurse scientists, organizational leaders at all levels, and front-line nursing staff. Advancement of NSIs demands a synergistic approaching using principles from implementation science, data science, measurement validity, and change management. This session provides a common understanding of these essential principles across key stakeholders, facilitate collaborations, and encourage development of rigorous research studies that expand ambulatory care NSI evidence, specifically for registered nurse-sensitive outcomes.
