Deena Gilland is the VP and CNO of Emory Healthcare's ambulatory patient services and adjunct faculty at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University. She has been a nurse at Emory for over 26 years in various roles, from a new graduate nurse in inpatient oncology to the inpatient oncology department director, then transitioning to ambulatory care as the director of oncology services for the Winship Cancer Institute to her current position. Deena serves on several boards of directors, including the Emory Alumni Board, the Association of Cancer Executives, and the Emory School of Nursing Alumni Board. She is an active member of AONE, serving on the continuum of care task force, and an active member of AAACN, serving as a member of the Leadership SIG. She received her BSN from Georgia College and State University, her MSN in healthcare leadership from the Emory School of Nursing and completed the managing healthcare delivery program at the Harvard Business School.
