Cynthia Murray has been a nurse leader in varied ambulatory care settings for the past 25 years. She currently practices as the nurse manager for clinical operations in Atlantic County, New Jersey, and as the clinical nurse advisor for primary care for the US Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Cynthia obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Dundee Scotland in nursing research and as a member of that global nursing society, she continues to influence the international field of nursing while practicing within her community. She earned her Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing in 2008. Cynthia has been a member of AAACN since 2008 and has provided her expertise to AAACN through work on various task force committees, publications, national offices, special interest groups and has presented on behalf of the organization at national conferences. Cynthia received the AAACN Above and Beyond Award in 2015. Over the course of her nursing service at the United States VHA in ambulatory care, she as has received multiple County/State and Congressional recognition proclamations, which include in 2018 the nations flag being flown at the US Capital in Washington DC in her honor, and in 2019 she received the Military Honor from the Chapel of the Four Chaplains.
