Dr. Kathy Mertens serves as the associate chief nurse for ambulatory care and population health at University of Washington Medicine - Harborview Medical Center. Kathy has over 25 years of nursing and leadership experience in acute care, public health, and ambulatory care settings. Kathy received her MN and MPH degrees at the University of Washington and her DNP degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She is a past president of AAACN and is a current member of the AAACN Research Committee and editorial board member for the new Journal of Ambulatory Care Nursing.
