Jessie Jones-Bell is the University of San Francisco Program Director for the New RN Transition Program in Ambulatory Care. She developed and implemented the program in partnership with the California Institute for Nursing and Healthcare Task Force. The transition program has served hundreds of new graduate RNs in transitioning into the practice of ambulatory care. She was part of the AAACN national task force that authored the first white paper on the need for New RN Residency Programs in ambulatory care, as well as one of the contributing authors of the AAACN Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse Residency Program: Transition to the Specialty of Ambulatory Care. She is the primary author of the online toolkit that provides a framework in developing transition to practice programs in ambulatory care in academic settings, which is managed through the Ambulatory Care training Institute at University of San Francisco. She is Co-Chair for the AAACN Academic-Practice Partnership Guidelines task force.
